¿Harto de comprobar, año tras año, que tus series de televisión favoritas no reciben el reconocimiento merecido por parte de los jurados de los grandes premios? ¿Convencido de que posees criterio y experiencia televisiva suficiente como para expresar tus gustos con total convicción? ¿Preparado para participar en una nueva experiencia que elevará el concepto de premios de televisión a cotas impensables hasta ahora?
Si la respuesta es sí, estás de enhorabuena porque te presentamos la primera edición de los Premios Anuales de la Academia Geek de la Televisión y tú estás invitado a participar.
Los jurados mejor preparados a la hora de premiar la excelencia televisiva son aquellos que consumen la televisión con devoción. Los Premios Anuales de la Academia Geek de la Televisión nacen con el objetivo claro y simple de permitir que cualquier persona, sin ningún tipo de distinción, tenga la oportunidad de emitir su voto, un voto libre y alejado de las presiones comerciales e institucionales. La intención principal es huir del estilo impuesto en los premios de televisión con más nombre y tradición, tales como los Emmy o los Globos de Oro, en donde sus nominados y ganadores parecen impuestos por decreto año tras año y en los que, sistemáticamente, se ignoran a decenas de producciones y profesionales.
Y lo mejor de todo es que el proceso es rápido, sencillo y gratuito para el usuario. Tan sólo debes acceder a la web de los premios TV Geeks y registrarte como miembro de la Academia para poder hacer efectivos tus votos en un total de 29 categorías. A partir de ese momento tienes desde el 1 de Septiembre hasta el 7 del mismo mes para hacer una preselección de la que saldrán los nominados finales. Nuestra intención es que desde un primer momento no se ignore a ningún posible candidato. Una vez finalizada esta etapa de preselección se harán públicos las candidaturas definitivas y durante los 10 días posteriores comenzarán las votaciones que determinarán los ganadores de Los Premios Anuales de la Academia Geek de la Televisión 2009, que se darán a conocer el 18 de Septiembre.
Así que si todavía no entiendes porque The Wire, The Shield o Battlestar Galactica no encontraron recompensa a su calidad, o cómo es posible que Martin Sheen no posea ni un Emmy por su interpretación del Presidente de los Estados Unidos en The West Wing, ésta es tu oportunidad de resarcirte. Entra a formar parte de la Academia de Geeks de la Televisión y vota. Siente el placer de repartir justicia. Que el mundo conozca tus gustos y preferencias.

Animaros a registraros en la página y os enviarán por email las instrucciones para votar a vuestras series favoritas en más de 30 categorías.
Desde hoy hasta el 8 de septiembre se realizará una preselección de nominados (3 por categoria) y el 18 se presentarán los nominados finales y comenzará la votación final.
Animaros a participar, es una gran iniciativa... que se oiga la voz del pueblo y no la de los periodistas y supuestos expertos en tv.

Yo he votado a Kiefer, a Edward James Olmos (Battlestar Galactica) y a Brian Cranston (Breaking Bad).
A pesar de que Michael Emerson me gusta, no le considero personaje principal... y el papel de Cranston es muy bueno, el de Olmos es épico y el de Kiefer.... pues es nuestro Kiefer.

yo esque no veo ninguna de las dos series... (es un poco el problema de la encuesta). La gente como yo vota mas a los que conoce, que a los que no conoce. Yo he votado ademas de Kiefer y Emerson, a Hugh Laurie. Porque, quitando dos o tres mas, los demas ni papa de quien son.

Eso si, Kiefer no ha pasado el corte como mejor actor de drama... una pena... no hay nada de 24 sobre lo que votar.... pero no era la 3ª serie más descargada?
